  • DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

  • HOW DO I KNOW IF MY INSURANCE WILL COVER MY SESSIONS?
    The best way to confirm your coverage is to verify your benefits with your health insurance company. Not sure what to ask? Below is a script for additional guidance when talking to your insurance company:
  • HOW MUCH WILL MY SESSION COST?
    Insurance can typically cover up to 100% of the cost for medical nutrition therapy, which means your out-of-pocket expense is often $0. However, depending on your plan, there may be a small copay or deductible, which is determined by your insurance company. If we’re not in-network with your insurance or if you prefer to pay out of pocket, we offer discounted rates to keep our services accessible.
  • DO I NEED A REFERRAL?
    In most cases, you do not need a referral to schedule an appointment with us. However, it may be required under specific insurance plans. If so, please have your physician complete the form below:
  • WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER SCHEDULING?
    After you schedule your first appointment, you can expect the following: You'll receive an email invitation from Practice Better, our HIPAA compliant platform. This is where we'll communicate, track progress, share session notes and resources, and schedule appointments. Next, you'll receive an email with your new patient intake forms. However, because no one likes paperwork (we get it), all forms can be completed online or right from your phone. These forms are essential; if they are not received, your appointment may be rescheduled. Before your first appointment, we encourage you to reach out to your insurance company to verify that your plan offers coverage for nutritional counseling, as benefits can vary by plan.   • WHAT HAPPENS AT MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?
    Your initial appointment will last about an hour and is designed to focus entirely on you. During this session, we’ll take the time to listen to your story and learn about the goals you’d like to achieve in our time together. We’ll review your intake forms and have a conversation about your nutritional and medical history. We’ll also discuss your lifestyle, eating patterns, and any challenges you’re currently facing. From there, we’ll explore your big-picture needs and strategize how we can meet them. In follow-up sessions, we’ll set more specific goals, check in on what’s working (and what’s not), and make any adjustments needed. Our practice is relaxed, judgment-free, and designed to make you feel supported and comfortable every step of the way!
